27-07-10 > HALIFAX BUILDING SOCIETY > Rainford Parish Council has received notification from the above company that the Halifax Building Society branch on Church Road in Rainford will shortly be closing. The ATM machine outside the branch will also be removed. As yet we do not have a definite date, but understand that the closure will occur sometime during October or November, with the removal of the ATM machine shortly before this. We understand that the Halifax could possibly make provision for customers at the local Post Office, but more information will be posted to the web site as and when the Parish Council receive it.- Iris Brown-Clerk to the Parish Council

04-01-10 > Rainford Walking Day > The date for this year is Saturday 19 June 2010.
Older > Potholes > There is a very quick and often effective way of reporting potholes, dangerous “traffic calming features”. Just enter the details into the website www.fixmystreet.com and they pass it on to whichever authority is responsible.
The above keeps records of any reports. That then creates a liability on the authority to repair the damage or have to compensate anyone whose vehicle was damaged after the report was lodged.
Older > Notice Board > Council Members wish to inform residents that a notice board for Council use is to be placed by the Bottle and Glass Public House. This is to be purchased with Ward Committee funds.

Exhibits will be accepted from all age groups.
